I am enjoying the “work” of sifting through the plethora of images I took whilst spending a week in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico more than I can express.
Have I ever mentioned my deep and abiding and transcendent love for Mark Rothko?
Yes, the previous two sentences have everything to do with one another.

treacherous oh-so-beautiful winter.
This garden bed series was shot during a recent, particularly frigid, winter sunrise at stone edge farm & vineyards.

sometimes the best thing you can tell correct exposure to do is…
I have just returned from a life-altering week in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Forgive me if it takes me some time to sort through these ~ some of my most favorite ~ images of all time.
I am currently in the throes of deciding so many things… how best to share these images is a minor one… I am also concepting a MOST exciting new cookbook project… preparing to usher my boy off to a new life in college… soon to transition to a new home who-knows-where… San Miguel, perhaps?
An exciting, sure-to-be-bumpy, lucky, transformative and blessed ride I have ahead… call me grateful and exhilarated.
*(and stop worrying so much about how to set your camera properly – go ahead and shoot, baby, S H O O T .)

now I just walk, but I don’t mind the rain

It’s been a year since this blog started… an entire year. Wow. It means so much to me that you stop by to view my work and to say hello. It also means that it’s time to announce my new 2012 calendar…
I continue to be happy with the quality of Zazzle.com so I have used them once again. One change… I found that the smaller sizes did not sell as well and that too many purchase options tended to confuse the ordering process. I have decided that big and bold is the only option this year.
Double entendre intended, friends…
~ Big and bold is the only option this Year ~
My new mantra.
The calendar:
$28.00 + shipping for the 14¼”x22″
These measurements are for the full calendar hanging open. Image on the upper half, calendar page on the lower as shown here:
CLICK HERE to purchase and as always, I would be forever grateful if you would share the love and spread the word.
You do have to set up a login with Zazzle to purchase but it is easy and straight forward – please let me know if you run into any snags and I’ll be happy to help.
NOTE: Be SURE to check the Zazzle site for discounts on calendars before purchasing! They’ve been known to do two-for-one’s, $$$ off, etcetera 🙂

I intend to live this next year fully
in the present
deep

open
honest
true
with tremendous love
and I wish the very same for each one of you.
Calendar or no calendar.

Leslie

everywhere.
I took this at a gas station just before driving out of Vancouver last week.
I believe that goes a long way towards proving my theory that beauty is everywhere.
May your holiday week be filled with love, beauty, and thankfulness.
